Ahead of the 2027 Accra Poetry Festival, we are developing a 24/7 online radio platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of African poets across the continent and diaspora, while creating a continuous digital space for audiences, artists, and cultural practitioners to experience poetry as an interdisciplinary and performative art form.

The idea begins with a simple conviction:
“…normally, it is the sounding of the poem, that gives it life — full blooded life.”
— Emeritus Prof. Kofi Anyidoho, on Channel1tvgh
Beyond this inaugural broadcast, the Online Radio will grow into a year-round platform for recorded readings, archival voices, conversations, translations, commissions, and festival programmes.
Poets interested in contributing are invited to submit their poems via email to community@museumofafricanpoetry.org
Please include your name, country, the language of the poem, a short biography, and the poem(s) you would like us to consider. As we move into the recording phase, selected poets will be contacted with further details about recording and broadcast permissions.
The end.
