SUMMARY:4 NVPC Poets at Our Heritage through Music and Literature
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce an upcoming cultural event in partnership with Creatives Project\, e-Ananse and Bibliophiles Vibes\, taking place on March 7. This special collaboration celebrates Ghanaian heritage through a dynamic fusion of music\, literature\, and live performance. \nAs an institution committed to showcasing contemporary literary voices\, we are proud to present an Open Mic Experience centered on works from the New Voices Poetry Anthology\, which we recently exhibited. This event brings these powerful texts to life through performance. \nThe evening will feature headline readings by The Native Son\, Kyeremah\, The Denoo Edinam\, and Estella Apenuvor\, who will perform selected pieces from the anthology. \nGuests can expect a full day of cultural immersion\, highlighting the richness and diversity of Ghanaian creative expression through spoken word\, music\, and community engagement. \nWe invite you to join us for this meaningful celebration of identity\, artistry\, and heritage.

SUMMARY:Narratives in Transition: Linguistics\, Poetry\, and the Reimagination of Ghanaian Expression.
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to welcome Nana Asaase\, a Ghanaian Poet\, Cultural Practitioner and Storyteller\, as guest for the conversation “Narratives in Transition: Linguistics\, Poetry\, and the Reimagination of Ghanaian Expression\,” designed as part of the New Voices Poetry exhibition. \nHis practice\, rooted in a blend of English and Twi\, draws deeply from Akan oratory and folklore\, and extends into performance\, coaching\, and cultural consultancy. Over the past 23 years\, Nana has shared his art with audiences from presidents and global dignitaries to cultural enthusiasts worldwide\, with features on platforms including BBC and CNN’s African Voices. \n\n \nWe look forward to sharing with him how poetry and orality continue to evolve in our times\, and how language remains a vital tool for memory\, identity\, and imagination. \nThis conversation is supported by Books With Abena in partnership with e-Ananse Library\, New Voices Poetry and Creatives Ghana Project.
