A New Partnership to Spotlight Ghanaian Narratives with the New Voices Poetry Contest

The Museum of African Poetry is pleased to announce a new partnership with the New Voices Poetry Contest, a literary initiative dedicated to amplifying emerging Ghanaian voices and fostering cultural expression through poetry. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to sustainability, community impact, and capacity development.

Under this partnership, both organizations will leverage their strengths to ensure that the creativity and narratives of new poets are preserved, celebrated, and made accessible for years to come.

The principal commitments of this partnership include:

  1. Curated Exhibition of Shortlisted Poems: The Museum of African Poetry will work closely with the contest organizers to design and present the shortlisted poems in engaging formats, allowing audiences to encounter poetry in fresh and dynamic ways.
  2. Archiving and Digital Inclusion: The Museum will preserve both shortlisted and winning poems within its digital collection, building a resilient and accessible archive of contemporary Ghanaian poetry for researchers, readers, and future generations.

Through these efforts, the Museum of African Poetry and the New Voices Poetry Contest will jointly contribute to cultivating a vibrant literary ecosystem—one in which new voices are nurtured, preserved, and celebrated.

We see this partnership as more than a contest; it’s a step toward building an enduring platform for poets whose stories deserve to be heard, archived, and shared widely.

The end.
